Screen configurations

A screen configuration is a defined combination of layout, filters and settings used to view data on Reconcilor's analysis screens.

Saving a screen configuration preserves the exact screen arrangement—including selected dimensions, filters, chart types, and visible columns—so you can quickly reload the same view later. Saved screen configurations can also be shared with other users to support repeatable and consistent analysis.

Saved configurations are useful when you:

Regularly use the same screen layout for daily or monthly reporting.
Want to standardise views across your team for consistency and comparison.
Need to quickly switch between different views, such as Mine Delivered compared with Plant Feed, or month-to-month comparisons.

You can create, update, and manage configurations from the configuration toolbar on the right-hand side of the Reconcilor screen, and save them using the Save button (or ellipsis icon if it displays instead) next to the configuration name. Configurations can also be organised into folders for easier access on screens with many saved configurations.

Note: During your Reconcilor implementation, at least one saved configuration is created for each analysis screen, and each screen is set up with a default configuration.

When working with screen configurations:

Use clear, descriptive names so you can find them easily in the configuration toolbar.
Organise configurations into folders by including the folder name and delimiter in the configuration name; for example, Reconciliation>>Model Factors. See Configuration folders.
Save common views as Global configurations to share consistent reporting formats across your team.
Review your saved configurations regularly and delete any that are no longer needed to keep your list organised.

System default configurations

System default screen configurations are the predefined views that load automatically when you first open a screen in Reconcilor. These defaults ensure that each screen opens with a valid dataset and returns data immediately, even before you create or save your own configurations.

System defaults are typically set up by Reconcilor consultants during implementation and may later be maintained by users with the appropriate permissions.

System default screen configurations are designed to:

Ensure every screen opens with a working dataset and displays data straight away.
Provide a consistent starting point for all users at your site.
Support initial validation and testing when the system is first implemented.

Custom configurations

While system default configurations provide a reliable starting view, they are not intended for everyday use. Once you are familiar with each screen's settings and filters, you should create and save your own configuration for each screen, and set a personal default configuration so it loads automatically when you open that screen.

Your personal configurations reflect how you prefer to view and analyse data, while the system defaults remain available as a fall-back or baseline for troubleshooting.

Note: If a screen opens with unexpected data or no results, it may be using the system default configuration. Try switching to one of your saved configurations or creating a new configuration that better matches your workflow.

Configuration folders

Saved configurations can be organised into virtual folders to make them easier to find on screens with many configurations. A folder is created when a configuration name includes a folder name followed by a delimiter. The text before the delimiter becomes the folder name, and the text after the final delimiter becomes the configuration name.

By default, the folder delimiter is >>. For example, a configuration named Monthly Reports>>Mine Delivered displays in a folder called Monthly Reports with the display name Mine Delivered.

Folders are virtual and are derived from configuration names. They are not stored separately in the system.
Folders display in alphabetical order and can be expanded or collapsed.
Folder names are not case-sensitive. If the same folder name is used in different cases, Reconcilor displays only one folder.
A folder only displays when it contains at least one configuration that is visible to you.
Nested folders are supported. Using multiple delimiters in a configuration name creates a folder hierarchy; for example, Region>>Monthly>>Ore Feed.
Configurations can have the same name if they are in different folders, but duplicate names within the same folder are not allowed.
The total configuration name, including folder names and delimiters, is limited to 100 characters. White space immediately before or after a delimiter is trimmed and does not count toward this limit.

Configurations can be moved into, out of, or between folders by editing the configuration name and adding, changing, or removing the folder prefix. See Save a screen configuration and Move a saved screen configuration between folders.

Note: The folder delimiter is configured by your Reconcilor administrator under System Settings > Application Settings > Implementation Detail. If the delimiter is set to an empty value, folders are disabled. See Implementation detail.
