Import Drillhole Data from ODBC
- On the Discover ribbon tab, in the Drillhole Project group and click Drillhole Manager.
The Drillhole Manager window displays.
- Under Project, expand New and select Import ODBC.
The Select Data Source window displays.
- Browse for and select the required ODBC database tables.
- Click OK.
The Drillhole Project Setup window displays.
- Browse for and select the Input ODBC File.
The ODBC database tables load.
- Enter a drillhole project Name.
- If required, enter a drillhole project Description.
- Select a file Path location to save the drillhole project.
- To change the Coordinate System (CRS):
- Click the button labelled with the coordinate system name. Default—WGS 1984 Web Mercator Auxiliary Sphere.
The Coordinate System window displays the XY Coordinate Systems Available.
- Select the required coordinate system.
- Click OK.
- Click the button labelled with the coordinate system name. Default—WGS 1984 Web Mercator Auxiliary Sphere.
- Update the Depth / Length Units if required.
- Select whether the project contains Drillholes or Trenches (or both).
- Click Next.
- If the project contains Drillholes, the Drillhole Location tab displays. Configure the following fields:
- Browse for and select the required Drilling Collar Table.
- If required, click Field Selection button to choose which fields to display in the drillhole project.

- If required, click Filter Condition button to choose which collars to load into the drillhole project.

- Update the following fields in the Drilling Collar Table field group as required.
- Hole ID
- Easting
- Northing
- Elevation
- Azimuth
- Dip
- Total Depth (Length)
- Browse for and select the required Drilling Survey Table.
- If required, click Field Selection button to choose which fields to display in the drillhole project.

- Update the following fields in the Drilling Survey Table field group as required.
- Hole ID
- Depth
- Azimuth
- Dip
- Select whether Down Dip is negative.
- If the project contains Trenches, the Trench Location tab displays. Configure the following fields:
- Browse for and select the required Trench Collar Table.
- If required, click Field Selection button to choose which fields to display in the drillhole project.

- If required, click Filter Condition button to choose which collars to load into the drillhole project.

- Update the following fields in the Trench Collar Table field group as required.
- Trench ID
- Easting
- Northing
- Elevation
- Bearing
- Total Depth (Length)
- Browse for and select the required Trench Survey Table.
Note: If the trench is not linear and contains multiple bearing changes or inflection points along its length, you must provide a survey table. The survey table must include a Trench ID field that matches the corresponding field in the Trench Collar table.
- If required, click Field Selection button to choose which fields to display in the drillhole project.

- Select whether the trench is XYZ or Bearing & Distance cumulative.
- If XYZ is selected, update the following fields in the Drilling Survey Table field group as required.
- Trench ID
- Order
- X
- Y
- Z
- If Bearing & Distance is selected, update the following fields in the Drilling Survey Table field group as required.
- Trench ID
- Order
- Bearing
- Distance
- Inclination
- Select whether the trenches are Cumulative or Segments.
- If required, enter the Surface Offset.
- Click Next.
The Downhole tab displays.
- Browse for and select the required Downhole Tables.
- Update the following fields in the downhole tables as required.
- Hole ID
- From
- To
- Point Table (only for tables without a from and to column)
- Click OK.
- Validate Imported Drillhole Data.
